Elizabeth and Basel had a gorgeous Syrian wedding at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Fishers, Indiana. As a resident and Fishers Indiana Wedding Photographer I drive by this beautiful church almost every day and was waiting on my opportunity to shoot as a wedding photographer for a wedding couple. I had watched the church being constructed and had always wanted to take a peek inside. I finally got my chance in shooting Liz and Basel’s wedding and it did not disappoint.
The day was filled with family and friends from all over the country. There was a lot of love and incredible food that was catered by Al Basha and which you can find and enjoy right here in Fishers, Indiana. Having never photographed a Greek Wedding before, it was an experience I will never forget. The culture, the music, the traditions are all beautiful. I found myself thinking about this wedding for many weeks after the wedding day. It was such a beautiful time. The day had a little rain throughout the day, but we were able to shoot and capture everything we wanted and more. Because of the weather or something electrical, the ceremony was even captured by candlelight.. which was a unexpected bonus (photographically speaking). It was all so beautiful.
I met Liz and Basel a year ago when shooting their engagement session. We immediately hit it off at their engagement session in Indianapolis, last summer and after our communication via email over the last year and attending their wedding, I have enjoyed every minute and would refer to them as friends. They are as delightfully in love and are as warm as they look in their photos. They currently reside in NYC and both have occupations in engineering. Cheers to Liz and Basel and their happily ever after! It sounds pretty amazing!
